Nenê, drummer with one of the most successful Brazilian Music careers; bass player Alberto Luccas and pianist Írio Jr., form “Nenê Trio”. As result of a modern, original and inventive encounter, they are releasing the album, “Outono”, which brings 10 originals themes, all written and arranged by Nenê. “Outono” stands out as the 11th album of the drummer’s solo career, and the first with this new Trio lineup.

Nene is convicted of the vivid Brazilian elements of this work “It is for sure something new, to compose using sophisticated harmonies and melodies with strong elements of Brazilian rhythms. This is what Alberto, Írio and I had in mind when we made this new album”. Some important compliments are already being collected. “I was deeply impressed by the musical quality of this album. The high technical level did not hide the sensibility and beauty of the compositions that, along with the arrangements, are extremely refined” defined Mr. Dori Caymmi, one of the most important Brazilian musicians.

Nenê recorded some of the Brazilian music landmark albums throughout his career, such as “Sanfona” (1981) with Egberto Gismonti, for the ECM label, “Ao vivo em Montreaux” (1979) with Hermeto Pascoal, “Clube da Esquina 2” (1978) with Milton Nascimento, and “Falso Brilhante” (1976), with Elis Regina. He also played and toured with several important jazz musicians such as Charlie Haden, Stele Lacy, Richard Galliano just to name a few.
